Enrollment is Open year-round!
Before contacting us, please take the time to educate yourself and your family about this educational philosophy. Information on our 'Resources' page is a good starting point. If you think this could be a good fit for your family, please inquire with the school. Find that link below:
WSS is open to students, ages 5 – 18, who can be responsible, safe, and respectful while experiencing freedom in their educational program. All students must be able to follow the rules voted on at School Meeting.
Parents will need to apply and pay a $220 non-refundable application fee to start this process - $200 will be credited to the family's tuition if they proceed with enrollment.
WSS is currently enrolling students between the ages of 5-14 years old as time is needed in this environment before completing the diploma process.
WSS wishes that all families that desire this type of education will be able to afford it. WSS has two options for tuition for your child(s):
1. APPLY TO FACTS: Your tuition will be set based on your family’s income and expenses, determined through a financial application process administered by FACTS. You will be required to submit income verification during this process.
There is a $40 fee for this application paid to FACTS. Eventually, the family will also set up their tuition payment plan through this system and are responsible for the fees pertaining to that.
2. Contact the school to ask about our tuition prices for your child(s) for the upcoming school year for those families that do not wish to complete the FACTS application.
Part-time enrollment is available for 4-5-year-olds that can demonstrate responsibility, safety, and respect after observing during a visiting week.
During the school year, once the financial application is submitted and the admissions application is complete, your child/teen may begin a five-day Visiting Week ($300/week/child). This is a chance for them to experience the school and for WSS to get to know them. At the end of the Visiting Week, the admissions committee will decide if they can enroll.
