Through A Liberation Lens
With Akilah Richards
Saturday August 5th from 2-4pm
Buzz Ware Village Center
2119 The highway
Wilmington, DE 19810
We are so excited to have Akilah Richards, host of Fare of the Free Child and Author of Raising Free People: Unschooling as Liberation and Healing Work, come to WSS to speak! Everyone with any interest in self-directed learning, liberation and healing, or rethinking education is welcome to attend!

Akilah S. Richards is a Jamaican-born podcaster and writer who speaks about equity and cultural competence, leadership development, decolonizing parenting, and how people unschool. She amplifies the work of unlearning the barriers to being our real selves together, in our homes, in our chosen circles, and in all the other ways we work and serve.
Akilah is passionate about mindful partnerships and parenting. She works to amplify the ways that unschooling, in particular, is serving as healing grounds and liberation work for Black, Non-Black Indigenous, and People of Color communities.
